Annie W. Gore

Born in Simpson, LA, Annie was the daughter of the late Andrew McMillan White and Mattie (Squyres) White.  Her family owned the White Grocer in Leander, LA for many years.  Annie became the Postmaster in Leander, and retired from that position.  She was a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church in Hineston, LA, and of the Pine Valley United Methodist Church in Wilmington.   She loved to go fishing with her husband.  

Annie is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Carol Hickman, John Gore, Gearl Gore, Daylon Gore, Larry Gore, Lisa Gore, and Betty Ruth Denhart.  She was predeceased by her sister, Alma Burns.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 3, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Rd, Wilmington, 28412, where friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services.  Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Old Zion Cemetery in Tabor City, NC.
