Anthony Daniel Casiere

Tony was born in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, on January 30, 1941, to Alfonso Thomas Casiere and Jessie Rollins Casiere. He attended grade school in Bloomfield, New Jersey and earned his Pharmacy Degree from Rutgers University in 1964. While working as a Purchasing Agent for E.R. Squibb & Sons, Tony also worked as a retail Pharmacist and, later, as World-Wide Purchasing Manager for Bristol Myers-Squibb until he retired in 1994.

On May 22, 1964, Tony, and the love of his life, Bette Ann Lawson, eloped and were married at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Jersey.

Tony and Bette moved to North Carolina in 1998, and they both joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending church, traveling, gardening, bike riding, home repairs, hunting, camping, and boating/sailing. Tony is described by others as a jokester and the life of the party and had a genuine concern for the well-being of others.

Tony was predeceased by his father, Alfonso Casiere; his mother, Jessie Casiere; and his brother, Rodney Casiere.

Tony is survived by his loving wife of 62 years - Bette Ann Lawson Casiere; three children - Marie Elizabeth, Christine Ann, and Daniel Anthony; and three grandchildren - Ian Scott Baxter, Winter Solstice Casiere, and Dana Marie Baxter.

The Wake will be held from 3 pm to 5 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory - Valley Chapel (Wilmington, NC).

The Funeral Mass will be held at 9 am on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Wilmington, NC) and concluding at Oleander Memorial Gardens (Wilmington, NC).
