

Mrs. Argienell Spears Giles (aka: "Doll", "Nell" "Mom") the 6th child born April 27, 1937 to the late Joe Willie Spears Sr. and Idella Winston Spears in Cario, Illinois. She passed away peacefully on February 04, 2017 in Stone Mountain, Georgia at the age of 79.
She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age while in Cario.
She attended Alexander Central High School in Tamms, Illinois. Upon completion of school she moved to Gary, Indiana where she met and married the love of her life Rudolph Giles. This union was blessed with 4 daughters and because of Rudolph's military service the family lived overseas and state side on military bases.
Throughout her adult life she worked as a cashier/bookkeeper; in addition to her job she was also a Homemaker.
Nell served her Lord and Savior by using her God given talent of singing in various church choirs throughout her travels.
After the death of her husband in 2000 she moved to Wilmington (2002) and became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed singing with the Gospel Choir until her health began to fail. Nell loved bowling and was a member of Wilmington Bowling league and The National Bowling Association, and was instrumental in securing championships for her leagues.
Nell was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her daughters Dale Faye Wilson, Pamela Richardson, Donna Parson, Inga Alston; 2 sisters Maizie Faust and Patricia Love; 6 grandchildren, 1 very special niece/granddaughter, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 sister-in-law, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. We will all miss her dearly.
The funeral will be held on February 11, 2017 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church located at 3701 Princess Place, Wilmington, NC 28405 (phone:910-251-8772). Viewing will be from 12:00 to 1 P.M. followed by the funeral service at 1 P.M. Nell will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 1311 Shipyard Blvd. in Wilmington.
