

Arthur Rex Willis July 19, 1930-November 24, 2012 Rex was a hard working and creative man. He was married to Louise Cook Willis for 62 years. He had a humble beginning in Belleville, Kansas, as a young man he served in the US Air Force, after which he was employed with the US Department of Agriculture, in the Cotton and Grain Storage division, where he worked until retirement in 1986. The USDA took him to Raleigh, NC, where he and Louise raised their son Arthur Randall. They lived in other places around the country including Washington, DC, Minneapolis Minn. and Kansas City, KS. Rex and Louise retired to Hampstead, NC where Rex enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing and spending time on Nixon Creek. They moved to Wilmington in 2004 where he lived until his death on Saturday November 24, 2012. Rex leaves his wife Louise, his son "Randy" wife Ellen and grandson Brian Willis, sister-in-law Betty Jane and husband Frank Scott, all of Wilmington, and sisters Geraldine Bostic and Carol Faye Phillips of Georgia.
