Barbara Ellen Huber, 79, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center. She was born on May 10, 1936 in New Haven, CT. Mrs. Huber gave her acceptance to anyone and everyone. She was an excellent listener and kind to all. More than a mother, sister and grandmother, she was a friend to all who knew her and she will be sadly missed. Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen (Michael) Crenshaw; her son, Gary Huber; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Hailey Crenshaw; and her brother, Donald Sprague. Also remembered is her husband John Gill Huber, and two sons, John and Karl Huber, all of who preceded her in death. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will have a private interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the local animal shelter in Barbara's memory.
