Barbara Jane Bartholomew Walker, known affectionately as Bobbye died on June 5, 2015. She was born on December 19, 1933 in Kilgore Texas and raised in Iowa, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her husband retired Lt Col Joe G. Walker Jr, her daughter Lisa Walker, parents Audie & Guy Bartholomew, sister Alla Ray Hayes, and brother Hollis Bartholomew. Mrs. Walker was a devoted Military wife & mother. Upon her husbands retirement from the Marine Corps she resided in Lake Charles, La, later moving to Wilmington, NC where she lived for 33 years. She is survived by two sons Christopher and Kevin Walker of Wilmington, NC, daughter Dina Walker of Hilton Head, SC, grandson Shane Walker and wife Shannon of Wilmington, NC, grandson Christopher Walker of Longview Texas, sister Linda Richard of Iowa, La, brother Guy Bartholomew of Houston, TX, and four great-grandchildren.
