Bennie "Harold" Woods

Bennie “Harold” Woods, 75, of Wilmington passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Harold was born in Wilmington on October 17, 1945 to Bennie Shirley Woods and Vena Mae Woods whom preceded him in death. Harold retired as police chief of Carolina Beach and deputy chief of Federal Point Fire Department. He loved NASCAR, running heavy equipment, wood working and animals, he was a gentle giant. Harold is survived by his partner of 28 years, Janet Alexander, daughter Beth Marcucilli and husband Anthony, grandson Kendall Marcucilli, stepson Shawn Frye, grandsons Sabian, Xander, and granddaughter, Halo. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life Service will start at 4:00pm in the Chapel, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a cancer organization of your choice.
