We mourn the passing of Betty, a long time Wrightsville Beach resident and cherished member of the community. Betty was a cornerstone of the Wrightsville United Methodist Church, serving faithfully as both a long-time member and church treasurer.
Beyond her church involvement, Betty was an esteemed member of the Harbor Island Garden Club, where she was honored with a lifetime membership.
Professionally, Betty made a significant impact as a successful realtor for over 25 years. Her expertise and hard work earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious Realtor of the Year award.
Her dedication and commitment to the church and her community were unwavering.
In her retirement years, Betty found joy in exploring the world through travel and cherishing moments with her family and eight grandchildren. Whether casting a line on the water, bowling in her weekly league, engaging in a “friendly” card game, or tackling household repairs with her trusty toolbox, she embraced life with enthusiasm.
Betty's strength, genuine character, and grace touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to our mother, grandmother and friend, we find solace in the memories she leaves behind and the profound impact she made on our lives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, February 23, 2024 at Wrightsville United Methodist Church, with a reception immediately following in the fellowship hall.
