Betty Lou Crocker Pope of Wilmington died Sunday March 30, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center. She was born April 7, 1932 in New Hanover County daughter of the late Joseph Henry Crocker and Ada West Crocker. Mrs. Pope was a long time employee of Hieronymus Seafood Restaurant and a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Edgar "Ed" Pope, children; David Hinson of Wilmington, Ada Hinson Lester of Wilmington, Donna Hinson Beckworth of Rocky Point and Lynn Hinson Fontana of Atkinson, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three step children. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, April 4, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel with Rev. Billy Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7pm until 8pm Thursday April 3, 2014 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
