Betty’s surviving sibling is her sister, Linda Bridges of Wilmington, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Jerry Lee Woodcock; her parents, Lawrence and Hazel Peterson; her brother, Mitchell Peterson; and her sister, Kay Bordeaux.
Betty cherished her roles as a sibling, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She found joy in family gatherings, where she would prepare her beloved family-style dinners. She was a devoted supporter of her grandchildren, attending their ball games, band and dance recitals, and any event that celebrated her family. Betty also loved "marathon" shopping with her daughter, Deborah, and playing board games with her son, Keith, and her grandchildren. She treasured quality time spent chatting with close friends. Above all, Betty had a deep faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Betty loved and cherished her husband, Jerry, and deeply missed him after his passing.
Betty was a loving and caring woman, always putting her family’s needs before her own. She will be forever remembered as a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend by all who had the joy of knowing her.
