Beverly Reid Ferree Bordeaux

Beverly Reid Ferree Bordeaux, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on December 2, 2025. Beverly was born on April 11, 1944 in Winston Salem, NC. She was the daughter of Ralph James & Ethel Reid Ferree. In 1963, she married William James Bordeaux, Sr and together they had 4 children, which made for a very bustling household. Even with 4 small children, Beverly got into nursing school on scholarship at UNCW. She graduated as a registered nurse at the top of her class in 1975 and immediately started her nursing career at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, NC. She retired from nursing in 2009, after thirty five years.  

After becoming a grandmother, Beverly became affectionately known to her grandchildren & family as Bebe. 

Bebe is survived by Two siblings, Helen Ferree Hooker & Ralph James Ferree II, her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Bordeaux & Laura Bordeaux Hughes, her grandchildren, Samuel Purcell, Benjamin Purcell, Rocco Campagna, Julia Campagna, Michael Campagna, William Campagna, Alexandra Roberts, Charles Hughes & Six great grandchildren. Bebe was preceded in death by her son, William James Bordeaux, Jr & her daughter, Carolyn Ferree Bordeaux Purcell. 

The family would like to express incredible gratitude to Bebe's grandson, Samuel Purcell & Ginger Deschner for taking such wonderful care of Bebe during her last years of life. 

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, December 16, 20205 at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1pm until the service hour. Interment will immediately follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery.
