

Beverly was a deeply loving mother, grandmother, and partner whose life was centered on caring for those she held dear. She was the beloved mother of Melanie Schoninger, Chuck Schoninger, Stacey Schoninger and was predeceased by her cherished son, Kenneth Lainer Schoninger. She adored her granddaughters, Morgan Schoninger, Madison Schoninger, and Ariella Per, who brought her immense joy and pride. She leaves her devoted partner Alan Mandelstam who spent over two decades by her side.
Beverly was also preceded in death by her parents, Lee Eagle (Salth) and Samuel Eagle, whose values and spirit she carried with her throughout her life.
Those who knew Beverly will remember her for her warmth, resilience, and unwavering presence for her family. She offered comfort without fanfare, strength without display, and love without condition. Her home and heart were always open, and she carried herself with dignity through both life’s joys and its challenges.
Beverly’s memory will live on in the stories shared, the traditions continued, and the love she so generously gave. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Sunday December 21, 2025 at B'nai Israel Congregation, 2601 Chestnut St, Wilmington, NC, 28405.
