Carl Adrian Lahetta

Carl Adrian Lahetta age 73 of Leland, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at his residence.

He was born in Lorain, Ohio on January 28, 1942 the son of the late William Lahetta and Martha Ericson Lahetta also was preceded in death by a brother, Paul and a nephew Jimmy.

Carl retired from R.R. Donnelley’s Book Group in NYC. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army in the 1st Missile Battalion in the 18th Field Artillery Group in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Carl was a devoted husband, Celebrating 51 years of marriage to his wife, Marcy; Carl was a proud father to his sons, Carl, wife, Suzanne and Michael, wife, Michelle; he will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Meredith, Sean, Jacob, Mia, Alexandra, Megan and Ryan; his sisters and brothers, Carol Moran, husband, Tom, Judy Rusin, husband, Larry, MaryJo Rodriguez, M.J. Kerr, Bill Lahetta, wife, Pearl, Tom Lahetta and wife, Chris, James Lahetta and wife, Glori ,Phillip Lahetta; Sister-in-laws, Mavis Strieter, Betty Hass, husband, Jim, Marlene Gemberowski, Eleanor Donnenworth, Kay Lickly, Gail Savell, husband, Dean; many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held 1:30 PM Monday July 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 411 Market Street Wilmington, by Dr. Matt Cook officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Church Gardens.

The family will receive family and friends from 5PM to 7 PM on Sunday July 5, 2015 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service 3915 Oleander Drive Wilmington and other times at their residence.
