Carol Ann Parker, 69, of Wilmington, NC, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Cape Fear Hospital. She was born in Syracuse, NY, on May 14, 1941, the daughter of the late Clara and Agustus Fassinger. Born and raised in Syracuse, Carol also lived in Florida for two years before moving to North Carolina in 1995. She enjoyed working as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, and was a past president of Columbiettes local chapter, and vice president of Columbiettes Supreme. Carol was active in her church for many years. Surviving is her husband of forty-eight years, LeRoy Parker; children, Dana Diana Parker, Dawn Kenneth Jolly, and Tamara Parker; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Mark Catholic Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. A committal service will follow at 11:00 am in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
