Carolyn Barton

She and her late husband Arthur Charles were married for almost 42 years and had four children. Carolyn and Art travelled extensively before his death in 1990. Carolyn lived in Cincinnati for almost 50 years before moving to Wilmington NC to be closer to family. She was met in heaven by husband Arthur, parents, Helen Dayton and Arthur Leonard Dunphy, daughter Carolyn Marie Barton and two of her three brothers, Arthur Dunphy and Alan Dunphy.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Arthur C. Barton (Holly), Celia Healey ( Glenn ) and

Elizabeth Weiss (Mark). She had nine grandchildren Artie, Carrie, Chip, Taylor,

Maggie, Jill, Melissa, Bridget and Colleen.15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Hugh Dunphy (Evelyn).

Until she was 92, she played tennis regularly even playing in the Senior Olympics Nineties division. Carolyn enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cross-stitching and knitting.

She loved all dogs and they loved her back.
