Catherine Owens Brown, 84, former resident of Wilmette, IL, died Monday, May 20, 2013, in Wilmington, NC. She was born August 22, 1928, in Ireland, to the late Dominick Owens and Bridgett McGuinn Owens. Catherine was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Wilmington, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Brown; Son, Robert Brown; brothers, Michael Owens and Martin Owens; sisters, Hannah Fannon and Agnes Durkin; sister-in-law, Sheila Owens and brothers-in-law, Al Glynn, Matt Fannon and Michael Durkin. Survivors include brother, Dominick Owens (Maureen) and sisters, Winifred "Una" Glynn and Mary Berndaette McGowan (Sean); sister-in-law, Marge Owens; brothers-in-law, J. Bardon Brown (Mary)and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
