Chad Jason Davis

Chad Jason Davis age 48, of Wilmington, NC passed away January 11, 2026. He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on September 14, 1977, to Susan Phillips (LeClair) and Kenneth Clifton Davis. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents WL and Viola Tilley, and grandparents Harold and Toby Phillips and Jake and Polly Davis. We know Grandma was waiting with open arms to greet him at Heaven's Gate.

He is survived by his parents and his only son and best friend, Chad Austin Davis. His sisters: Ashley Davis Hopkins, and Samira Davis. Three nieces: Ashlyn Harmon Bledsoe (Reese), Christina Paige Hopkins and Stephanie Lynn Hopkins – and one grandniece Elena Skye Bledsoe. Special mention to his lifelong best friends: Nathan Henderson, Skyler Harmon, and angel of stepfather and caregiver Bill LeClair.

Chad was raised in the Moravian Church, attended Hoggard High School, and graduated from Cape Fear Community College. He loved cooking for so many customers, friends and family over his lifetime at Middle of the Island, Blockade Runner, The Sawmill and Daddy Macs. Chad loved cooking, living the beach lifestyle and playing his guitar.

We rejoice in the fact that today he is once again walking and talking with the Lord.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Sunday January 25, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, located at 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, North Carolina, 28412.

Celebration of Life Service will start at 4:00 pm in the Coble Chapel.
