A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Charlie served with honor and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze stars. He was a quiet man with a generous heart who loved to cook and bring smiles to others' faces. Retired from GE, he was an avid craftsman, loved watching sports, and found immense comfort and companionship in his cherished cat, Pretty Girl.
Charlie deeply treasured his family, his friends, and the simple, meaningful moments of life. He was a loyal friend who always showed up whenever he was needed. Those closest to him will forever cherish memories of time spent together—from joyful holiday gatherings to sitting quietly on his back porch watching the birds.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha, and his siblings, Gene, Sonny, Robert, and Alice.
He is survived by his brothers, David Bryant and Earl Bryant; his niece, Brittany Kelly (Brandon) and her children, Braedyn and Briella; his nephew, Clint Bryant (Carol) and his son, Clint Jr.; his nephew, Brandon Perdue (Blair) and his children, Jaxsyn and Kyrin; his nephew, Alex Bryant; and his niece, Jennifer Anderson (Russell) and her children, Kelsey, Sierra, Justin, Sydney, and Kierstin.
Charlie’s gentle presence, powerful quiet strength, and loving warmth will be deeply missed, but the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will remain forever. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
