Commander Charles David Moore, Jr., US Navy, Retired, 73, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.
He was born February 14, 1950, in Brunswick, GA, to the late Charles Moore, Sr. and Estelle Johns Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Gerrior; brother-in-law, Michael A. Gerrior; aunt, Rita Lee and several cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Andrews Valley Chapel. The family will receive visitors one hour prior, beginning at 10am.
A reception at Trinity Landing, 5450 Trinity Landing Way, Wilmington, NC 28409, will follow the memorial service.
Burial will take place at 12 noon, Friday, September 22, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.
