Charles Albert Tinsley

Charles Albert Tinsley, 60, of Hampstead, NC, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington, NC. He was born in Bluefield, WV, September 19, 1950, son of Nancy Tinsley Grindstaff of Hampstead, NC and the late Charles Albert Tinsley. Mr. Tinsley was a Vietnam Veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Army. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Josie E. Tinsley; children, Elizabeth Edwards and husband Jarid of Johnson City, TN and their children, Katie and Jarid, Jr., Russel Tinsley and wife Rebekah of Newport News, VA, Kenny Tinsley and wife Sheena of Johnson City, TN and their son, Parker, Josie Bianchi and husband Nick of Johnson City, TN and their daughter, Lilly, and David Tinsley and wife Victoria of Johnson City, TN and their children, Austin and Charles Noah; step-daughters, Leslie Presnell and Melissa Whitehead; and siblings, David Tinsley and wife Joy of Yorkville, IL, Kenneth Grindstaff and wife Deborah of Johnson City, TN, Thomas Grindstaff, Jr. and wife Jody of Greenfield Center, NY, and Deborah Midgett and husband Johnny of Hampstead, NC. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society.
