Cleo Bass

Cleo Bass, age 84, of Wilmington went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Cleo was born May 31, 1928 to the late Nioma Byrd and Frank Byrd. She was preceded in death by her late husband Frank Bass and son Russell Byrd. She is survived by daughter Joanie Copeland (Ernest), grandson Billy Barfield (Robin), sister Agnes Stanton of Lumberton, NC, and brother Willie Paul Byrd of Fairmont, NC.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Friday, September 14, 2012 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, September 14, 2012 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Wroten of Sunset Park Baptist Church officiating.
