She was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late George and Vera Carlton of Wilmington, NC.
Cynthia is remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her son Larry Brown and fiance Hannah Brinkley, son Mike Brown and grandson Jaxon Brown, sister Vera Barnhill (Muffin), sister-in-law Linda Carlton, forever family Jean and Creed Moore, nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and her precious fur baby Sweet Pea.
She worked for Subway in Wilmington for 30 years prior to entering into retirement.
Cynthia loved to fish, enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends, and love to her knowledge of country music. Her smile, quick wit, sense of humor and generous heart will be deeply missed.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 3736 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412 on Thursday, August 8th at 4:00 PM.
