Daryl Grover Goodwin

Daryl was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time on the water with a fishing rod in hand, enjoyed a perfectly cooked steak, and treasured time with those he loved. He also loved the beach and spending time with Megan, Mitzi, Jay, and the boys. Above all, he adored being “Pa” to his grandsons, Bodhi and Indy. Whether making memories together or simply enjoying their company, they brought him tremendous happiness and were among the greatest blessings of his life.

In his final weeks, Daryl was surrounded by the love of his family in Wilmington. His passing reminds us that while life can be complicated, love, grace, and forgiveness endure. Those who knew him will remember the moments of laughter, the stories shared, and the quiet times spent together.

Daryl is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Megan Peedin; his son-in-law, Jay Peedin; Mitzi Goodwin; and their cherished grandsons, Bodhi and Indy, along with other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service to celebrate Daryl’s life will be held with family and friends at 11:00AM Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may honor his memory by spending time with the people they love, casting a fishing line, sharing a good meal, or simply taking a moment to appreciate life’s everyday blessings.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
