

David Edmonds Archibald, Sr., 67, of Wilmington, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Sunday, October 31, 2021. David (Dave) was born in Washington, DC on September 28, 1954 to Parker and Frances Archibald.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.
David graduated from James Madison High school in Vienna, VA in 1973 and attended Virginia Tech University. In 1977, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Victoria (Vic) Archibald. He was also employed with East Coast Granite as a sales representative and attended Global River Church.
David was very involved with his church and his faith in God. He was a big fan of the Washington Football Team (Redskins), loved the beach, and his favorite vacation was going to the mountains with his family. Family was everything to him. David was the funny guy with the silly jokes and never met a stranger. He touched so many lives.
David is survived by his wife Victoria (Vicki) Archibald; mother Frances Archibald; sister Frances (Fran) Mahaffey (Ed) of Bluffton, SC; brother Stephen Archibald (Connie) of Richmond, VA; children, Heather Elizabeth Archibald, David Edmonds Archibald, Jr. (Christen) and Nathan James Archibald; seven grandchildren Brannon Parker Dixon, Addison Elizabeth Dixon, Laila Evelyn Dixon, Kinsley Marie Archibald, Blayden James Archibald, Finnleigh Noelle Archibald, and Cameron Callan Archibald.
A celebration of David's life will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 3pm, Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel, Wilmington, NC, with Tom Hauser officiating.
In lieu of flowers, in David's memory should be made to the American Cancer Society.
