I had the privilege of being David’s friend,  colleague and School Director at EMU. I always enjoyed our lunches, interactions and conversations. He was a scholar and an excellent professor.  I learned that David was a talented singer,  who enjoyed music, and performing. On several occasions he shared his cd’s with me which I played in my car. I would ask him to sing in my office and he would smile and start singing. We both loved country.
We also shared the same hair style (no hair), he would call me Brother John and I would call him Brother Dave. I am grateful to have met David on his journey. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends. May all the memories he made bring you peace. Dr. David will be missed. John Boyless
