Bruce was born on January 8, 1953, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to James H. Odum and Lillian Elizabeth Odum. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Odum.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kitty; his daughter, Julie Jackson; his son, David Odum; and his sister, Nancy Squires. He also leaves behind four beloved grandchildren: Austin Jackson, Madison Jackson Croom (Nicholas), Nathan Odum, and Michael Odum.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market Street, Wilmington, North Carolina. A graveside service and burial will be held on Monday, October 26, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Bruce will be remembered by his family and loved ones for the life he shared with them and the memories they will cherish.
