Dolores Lafai Futch Bowen, age 95, of Wilmington NC, slipped into her eternal home with Christ her Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was born in Wilmington, NC on July 29, 1929 to Billy Futch and Edna Futch, both deceased.
She is survived by her sons: Stephen Pope, her primary caregiver of Wilmington, NC and Bruce Pope and wife Diana of Salisbury, NC; daughter Amber Hegler of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren: Shannon Baldwin, Matthew Pope, Julian Hegler, Ava Pope and Hunter Hegler and two great grandchildren Ella and Abby.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:30pm on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:30pm at Oleander Memorial Gardens at 306 Bradley Drive, with Reverend Matthew Pope of Wallace Methodist Church officiating.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and they thank God for her 95 years of life.
