On Saturday, June 15, 2013, Donald Herbert Bell passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Don was an honorable veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Corning Glass Works after 37 years of service. He was a loving father, grandfather and caring friend to all that met him. He is preceded in death by his father, Ira Herbert Bell; mother, Alma D. Bell; sister, Virgia Lemley; brother, James Dewain Bell and his best friend and companion, Jasper Bell. Surviving is his daughter, Dawn Bell; son, Lee Bell; granddaughter, Lauren Bell; sister, Vitula Carpenter; nieces, Karen Loyd, Barbara Gstalder, Romona Carpenter and nephews, Michael Carpenter, Jim Bell and Jim Bell. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed! Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
