

Donald Keith Bledson, 69, of Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on August 24, 2025. He was born in Wilmington, North Carolina on March 27, 1956, to Claude Cleveland Bledson Jr. and Doris Aileen Bledson.
Along with his parents he was preceded by an infant son.
Donald was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend, and mentor to many throughout his life. He is survived by his lifelong love and wife of 43 years, Wanda, with whom he built a deep and enduring relationship.
A proud and courageous veteran, Donald served his country with distinction as a Major in the U.S. Army for 22 years. He was a member of the elite 82nd Airborne Division and a veteran of the Grenada Invasion. His bravery and commitment to his country were defining characteristics of his service.
Donald spent his childhood in Seagate before pursuing his education at NC State University, where he earned a master's degree. His dedication to learning and personal development was a constant throughout his life.
Beyond his professional and educational achievements, Donald was a passionate fitness enthusiast who actively participated in various sports. His commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle was an inspiration to those around him.
Donald's Christian faith was an integral part of his life, and he lived as a devoted child of God. He will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to his family, his country, and his faith, as well as his dedication to a life well-lived.
Donald will always be remembered for his strength, loyalty, guidance and love. He will be missed. His legacy will be treasured by all who were privileged to know and love him.
He is survived by his beloved wife Wanda Bledson; son: Colin Ian Bledson; brother: Douglas Bledson and his companion Beth Farmer.
A viewing will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Coble Funeral & Cremation Service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1155 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC 28412 from 10:00AM-11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00AM with Rodney Cox officiating. An interment will be held immediately after with full Military Honors at Seagate Cemetery.
