Doris Hess Taylor, of Wilmington, died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Davis Health Care Center. She was born in Union City, NJ, January 26, 1920 the daughter of the late Joseph Hess and Adele Beemer Hess. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward M. Taylor. Mrs. Taylor lived most of her life in North Bergen, NJ and Lake Pleasant, NY. She will be buried next to her husband Edward at the Fish Mountain Cemetery in Lake Pleasant. She is survived by her son, Thomas Edward Taylor and his wife Patricia H. Taylor, two grandsons, Brendan Taylor and Ryan Taylor, and two great grandchildren, Charlie Taylor and George Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at St. Andrews on-the-Sound Episcopal Church with the Rev. Richard Elliott officiating. Interment services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association- Eastern North Carolina, 3737 Glenwood Avenue, Suite 100, Raleigh, NC 27612.
