Doris Johnson Walton

Doris Johnson Walton, 82, of Wilmington died Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Litchford Falls Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh. She was born on November 26, 1929 in Wilmington to the late Paul M. and Lucy Council Johnson. Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband Jimmie Walton. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands Lucy and Tommy Altobellis of Charlotte, and Ammy and Edd Dunlap of Wake Forest; grandsons Joe Altobellis of Charlotte, Aaron and Graham Dunlap of Wake Forest; sister Dorothy Hathaway of Atkinson; two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Doris was a loving and giving person, devoted to her family and her many friends. She worked as a legal secretary for Hewlett Collins and Allard for 40 years. She was a lifelong member of Masonboro Baptist Church and a member of Hanover Seaside Club. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Masonboro Baptist Church. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Litchford Falls Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center as well as Hospice of Wake County.
