Dorothy Kerr Cox, age 84, of Wilmington, NC, died at Lower Cape Fear Hospice on Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born on March 22, 1936, in Cherokee County, Texas, to William Herbert Kerr and Ola Norton Kerr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Lisa Cox Sanders, her 7 sisters Louise, Lucille, Verline, Mary Ann, Leora, Lenora, and Betty Jo, and 3 brothers Reese, Sam, and Michael.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Cox Strickland and her husband Larry Strickland, grandchildren Stacey Buehler Pinkham and her husband Richard, Brett Buelher and his wife Kristin, Brandon Strickland and his fiance Bianca, and Laura Strickland. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren Alexandra (Allie) Fletcher, Lucy Pinkham, Dixon Pinkham, and Jayden Harrelson.

Dorothy was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended the Sunset Park Congregation in WIlmington. She will have a virtual memorial service on Zoom to be held on Saturday, February 20th, at 5 pm.
