Dorothy Naylor Fitzgerald

            Dorothy Naylor Fitzgerald answered the call of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 25, 2016.

            She worked for Southern Bell for 41 years. After her retirement, she spent time volunteering for Calvary Baptist Church which she loved.

            Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Fitzgerald, her parents, Tillman and Nannie Naylor, her sister, Elsie Hall, and her brother, Prentice Naylor.

            She is survived by her five children, Debby Boone (Dan) of Apex, NC, Mike Fitzgerald (Andree) of Atkinson, NC, Tim Fitzgerald (Lisa) of Castle Hayne, NC, and Andy Fitzgerald (Jean) and Lena Parker (Ronnie), all of Wilmington; seven grandchildren, Daniel Boone, Jr, Jennifer  Longworth (Ty), Stephanie Fitzgerald, Emily Fitzgerald, Michelle Fitzgerald, Casey Parker, Michael Marnelli (Maike); five and a half great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

            A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Donnie Lovette officiating. Prior to the service at the church, the family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the service hour. Interment will follow in Spell Cemetery, Roseboro, NC, with Rev. Ricky Spell officiating.
