Dorothy Jean Ray Dorothy Jean Ray, 82, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. "Dottie", is the daughter of the late Frazier Douglas "Buddy" Hanson, and Edna Florence Patterson Hanson. She is survived by: husband, David W; her children, Richard, Teresa, David, Kenneth, and Barbara; more than twenty grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Ann Jacobs and her family. Dottie, devoted military wife of an Air Force NCO, cared for her family for many years at home and abroad. She loved cooking, gardening, television, Wilmington, but especially, her family. She will be greatly missed. Dorothy Jean Ray, a Christian woman, is now with her Savior. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, March 27, 2015, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
