

He was born in Celeste, TX, on March 8, 1940, the son of the late George Manuel Hill and Ruby Lee Wallace and Stepson as of 4 years old to William Burley Lanier. Also remembered is his first wife of fifty-nine years, Jaqulin Harrelson Hill, who preceded him in death on October 24, 2021 and a grandson, Jerome Bullard, Jr. on August 15, 2021.
Dave and his high school sweetheart from Texas, Nita Duncan, who was also widowed, were blessed to reconnect ten months ago and have cherished the last seven months together as husband and wife. In addition to Nita, Dave is survived by three daughters; Gwen Bullard (Jerome Sr.), Angie Connor (Roger) and Robin Smith (Kenny); grandchildren, Wesley Bullard (Heather), Jake Connor, Tori Coats (Corwin Coats), Aubree Smith and Grayson Smith, and a granddaughter-in-law, Mary Evelyn Bullard; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alexis, Wyatt, Randall, Katelin (Caleb), Brooke, Slade and Laikyn; stepdaughter, Gina Stone Knapp (Jeff); stepson, Chris Stone (Artie); five step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
Dave was a good and Godly man. He leaves a wonderful legacy for his family of knowing God’s goodness and love. He was a devoted husband to Jacki and lovingly provided care for her as her health declined. Dave had a strong love for all his family and was a devoted “Papa” to all his grandchildren. His love and devotion also extended to his country as he was a proud US Navy veteran, having served from 1958 – 1965.
Dave spent many years working for DuPont and after his retirement, spent another 15-20 years following his lifelong passion for driving by traveling for car dealerships driving vehicles from one location to another and making many special friends in the process.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Bridge of Life Community Church in Leland with Pastors Jerome Bullard and Wesley Bullard officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior, beginning at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Prosper Cemetery in Delco.
Pallbearers will be Jake Connor, Corwin Coats, Randall Sessoms, Wyatt Willett, Donald Harrelson, and Gary Alsup.
