Earl Kenneth (Buck) McGee

Earl Kenneth McGee (Buck), 84, of Wilmington, NC died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born February 18, 1931 in Kings Mountain, NC to the late William and Donnie Navey McGee, He is also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Thurman McGee, brothers Bill, Knute, Coleman, Pete, sisters Ruth, Miriam, Annie Mae and granddaughter Jamie McGee. Buck is survived by his sister Patsy (Ed) and brother Pat, five children, Kenneth (Cindy), Pam, Donna, Darryl (Angel) and David (Nancy), grand children, Lanette, Ahava, Rachael, Jason, Darryl Jr., Marina, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Buck was a caring, generous, selfless individual who never complained of hard times, hours of work or physical suffering. He always did his best for family and friends and always endeavored to put their interest first. Buck's passion was his children and travel to visit his family and friends in the Texas Hill country and the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
