MeMe retired from Henry Von Oesen, as a bookkeeper. She was a dedicated employee and loved working with numbers.
MeMe was a remarkable matriarch. She was dedicated to her husband, children and raised her two grandsons as well. She always was unconditionally involved with their daily lives. She displayed dedication and grace with ease. She loved to cook meals for her family which she always served with love, and always offered seconds. She had a love of flower arranging and was quite the gardener as well. She had a wonderful sense of humor and her laugh was intoxicating. She created a home where when you walked in the door, you felt welcome and loved. She was patient, wise and loving. She was determined and always focused on a goal to accomplish.
Her mantra was “Do the very best that you can” and that is truly how she lived her life. She will be deeply missed. However, she touched so many lives and her love will forever remain in the hearts of all that had the honor of knowing her.
Donations can be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice in her honor in lieu of flowers.
