A graduate of Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts, Ed took pride in his accomplishments as chef. Those who love Edwin knew him as Ed, Rod or Dad. Ed leaves behind his best friend and wife of 14 years, Diana, and their 4 children: Edwin (13), Lillian (10), Violet (6) and Annabelle (3), all of Leland, NC. Ed also leaves behind his mother, Jeanie Weston of Ohio, and 2 brothers: Gene "Mick" Boso (and wife, Robin) and Larry "Feets" Boso, along with many treasured nieces and nephews. Preceding Ed in death are his biological father, Larry Boso and Glenn Weston, his stepfather, but the man he most called "dad."
To know Ed meant that you knew he was a man of few words. Ed was a man of his word, dependable, loyal and a genuine friend. His deepest loves lived within the walls of his home. He treasured time with his wife and children and arranged his work schedule so that he could manage the day-to-day caring for them. When given the choice of how to spend his time, Ed was happiest and most content just staying at home, playing with his girls, beating Edwin at video games, finding home improvement projects to work on or making his wife laugh. He had some funny hidden talents including juggling, riding a unicycle, and walking on stilts - clearly he was made to be in the circus and that's what made him the best father of 4!
Ed sought the Lord in his late 30s and his whole life changed. The legacy he leaves behind lives in the hearts of those he touched. If you knew him, then you know that Jesus was his victory song and heaven is his gain. "Mr. Ed" as the neighborhood kids would call him, will be deeply missed. His presence leaves a wide gap, but we know that he is now forever free and for that we rejoice.
"Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." James 1:12
