Eleanor Johnson Bryant

Eleanor Johnson Bryant, 74, of Wilmington, NC, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center. She was born on August 17, 1934 in Kirby Township, NC, the daughter of the late Lokie and Essie Brown Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse W. Bryant in 2001. Mrs. Bryant was a teacher's aid at Mary C. Williams and Bellamy Elementary Schools. She was a long time member of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church and a member of Exxon Pelican's Club. Surviving are three sons, Jesse W. Bryant and wife Vickie of Johnson City, TN, Brian Bryant and wife Kay of Raleigh, NC, and Bobby Bryant of Wilmington, NC; two grandchildren, Matthew Byrant and wife Brandy and Stanley Bryant; a sister, Clonie Vick of Tarboro, NC and husband Vernell; a cousin, Paige Brown; and sister-in-law, Jessie Mae Byrant. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Cape Fear Presbyterian Church by Rev. Jonathan C. Watson. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
