

Born on October 13, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Betty was the daughter of Pearl Elizabeth Reed and George Louis Reed. She attended Rutgers University in Camden, New Jersey, and enjoyed a successful career as an accountant.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Lee MacDuff; granddaughters Lauren Elizabeth Vitagliano and Gina Lee Vitagliano; great-grandson Rhys William Collins (Vitagliano); son Daniel Reed MacDuff and his wife, Kristine Middleton MacDuff; grandsons Daniel Middleton MacDuff and Hunter Ryan MacDuff; daughter Heather Leigh Iannucci and her husband, James Peter Iannucci; granddaughter Samantha Leigh Iannucci; grandson Dominic James Iannucci and his wife, Mia Rowan Iannucci. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband after 58+ years of marriage, Leigh Alan MacDuff, and her son, Ian Peter MacDuff.
Betty resided in South Jersey most of her life supporting her husband and family. She retired to Central Florida in 1992, enjoying Ocala and then The Villages. In retirement, she found joy in spending time with her beloved dogs, RV camping, traveling, researching genealogy, and participating in social activities at Cambridge Village.
A private celebration of life service will be held 11:30 am on August 21, 2026 for immediate family and residents of Cambridge Village in Wilmington, NC where Betty resided since 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Betty will be remembered for her love of family, her warm friendships, her curiosity about family history, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
