Ellen Wells Henry

Ellen Wells Henry, born September 11, 1927 in Burgaw, NC, went home to be with Jesus on December 9, 2007 after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband Edwin Lucky Henry and is the daughter of the late Randolph and Emma Wells of Burgaw, NC. She was the remaining sibling of seven brothers and four sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Long, Dionne Henry, three sons, David Henry and wife Agnes Henry, Steve Henry and wife Dawn Henry, Bruce Henry and wife Toni Henry. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was a Mother first and foremost and her children were her life. Her love for her children and her faith in God were her strength. Ellen was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church. During her latter years she spent all of her time visiting with her children and friends and enjoying the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her! Visitation will be held at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel Tuesday, December 11, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. The family will also receive friends at the residence of Nancy Long, 4500 Cove Road, Wilmington following the visitation Tuesday and after the service on Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by Rev. Jeff Lowman. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
