Estella was born February 4th, 1942, in Wilmington, NC to James and Serena Bennett. As a child, Estella attended grade school in Wilmington and later went to Cortez Peters Business, Business School (Washington, DC) to continue her education.
She was known by friends and family for her beautiful smile, witty/bright attitude, her love of music and dancing and being voted Senior Royal Sweetheart Queen of North Carolina.
Estella is survived by John (brother), Dale (sister), Leon II (son) and Starlet (daughter). She was preceded in death by James Sr. (father), Serena (mother), Leon I (husband), James Jr, Al and Reginald (brothers) and Van, Letha, Regina and Serena (sisters). Estella also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 5th, at 11:30am at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Wilmington, NC.
