Eva "Cathy" Miles

Eva Catherine “Cathy” Miles, 93, of Greensboro, NC, went home to be with the Lord on her late husband’s birthday, Monday, October 20, 2025. We believe when she saw her husband, who she has missed for fourteen years, she snuck up behind him and screamed, “Surprise! Happy Birthday!”, followed by a long-awaited hug.

Preceding her in death is her husband of 58 years, George Robert “Bob” Miles.

Cathy will be remembered by her family as a faithful Christian who was affectionately known as “Nana”. She loved baking for her family and friends. She also loved all her neighborhood friends and hosting neighborhood parties.

Surviving are her two daughters, Debbie Miles Squires (husband Mark Squires), Patti Miles McLean (husband James C. McLean, Jr. “Mac”), four grandchildren, Tammy Zachary, Mandy Itera, Ryan McLean, and Kevin McLean, and twelve great-grandchildren.

A graveside** service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 27, 2025, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington, NC.     **Please be aware that due to pending weather on Monday the service will be held in the Chapel of the Mausoleum.
