Frances E. Murray

She was born June 28, 1942 in Warsaw, NC the daughter of the late Owen Odell and Nora Thigpen Eason. She was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ivey.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving companion, Ken Mills of the home; her son, Gene Beck, Jr. and wife Kim of Wilmington, NC; a sister, Betty Novak and husband Joe; two brothers, Claudius Eason and wife Jean and Donald Eason and wife Debbie; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends.

She was employed as a fashion buyer /sales associate with Justin’s in downtown Wilmington for over 20 years. She continued her career as a fashion consultant at Belk in Independence Mall until her retirement. Frances has dressed many women for numerous special occasions. She was the ultimate fashionista.

After her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, and decorating her home.

She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Willie Frizzelle officiating.
