Francis Bion Jacobs IV

He was born in Wilmington, NC on August 28, 1969 to Francis B. Jacobs III and Lynne Davis Jenks. Bion graduated from New Hanover High School in 1987. He graduated from UNC- Wilmington in 1994 with a degree in Computer Science. Bion worked for several computer companies in Research Triangle Park; most recently for NetApp.

Bion was a special, loving person with both family and friends. He was generous and friendly. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his mother, Lynne Davis Jenks and step father, H. Douglas Jenks; his father, Francis B. Jacobs III and wife, Lois. He is also survived by his sister, Tonya L. Dugan (Tim); and two step brothers, Jason Douglas Jenks (Angie) and Kent Allen Jenks. He will be sorely missed by nephews, Christian D. Jenks and Jackson Hylton; and nieces, Cassie C. Jenks, Chelsea L. Dugan and Savannah K. Dugan. Bion will also be missed by his friends in Cary, NC. A memorial service will also be held there for him.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm. A Graveside Service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, NC on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 3:00 pm.
