

Francis Mac "Butch" Schultz, 68, of Surf City, died Monday, February 16, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. He was born April 27, 1946, in Waterloo, IA. Butch enjoyed surf fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a fan of NASCAR and Duke Basketball. Butch previously lived in Lillington, NC and Clinton, NC. He served in the US Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Darwood Schultz, Clarence and Margaret Kephart. Survivors include his wife, Sue Temple Schultz; sons, Brian Schultz and wife Shannon; Chuck Michno and wife Lysa and Billy Michno; daughter, Stephanie Marzigliano and husband Pat; grandchildren, Lauren Brown and husband Josh, Lindsey Michno, Amber Michno, Heather Michno, Nick Schultz, Austin Coppola and Wyatt Coppola; sisters, Roxann Mason and husband Larry and Joyce Bunn and husband Mike; brothers, Clark Kephart and wife Roslyn and Mark Kephart and wife Beth and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Sunday, February 22, 2015, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue, PO Box 2095, Surf City, NC 28445 or Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401 in the name of Francis "Butch" Schultz.
