Frank will be remembered for his deep love and devotion to his family and friends. He was always the first to offer a helping hand and could be counted on whenever someone was in need. Throughout his life, he led and volunteered in many service organizations. Most recently in Wilmington, he volunteered with the sheriff’s department and remained active in his community, including founding the Veterans Club and participating in other local groups. He was also a talented stained glass artist and woodworker. Frank shared a love of cars with both of his sons and especially enjoyed driving his trademark blue BMW convertible.
Frank was born and raised in Chicago. He later attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in Printing and Packaging Science and met his college sweetheart, Linda, who became his wife. Shortly after beginning his career, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Following his graduation from Officer Candidate School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers and served in Vietnam.
After returning home, Frank resumed his career in sales and sales management in the printing and packaging industry, where he was respected not only for his technical knowledge but also for his warmth and ability to connect with others. During these years, Frank and Linda raised their two sons and spent 18 years on Long Island before eventually returning to New Jersey. At the same time, Frank continued his military service with the New Jersey National Guard, retiring after 23 years as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Around that same time, Frank began a new chapter in real estate, first in New Jersey and later in North Carolina, where he and Linda moved after her retirement. They first made their home in Durham before settling in Wilmington, where Frank joined Intracoastal Realty.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Linda, of nearly 60 years; his sons, Jonathan (his wife Megan) and Darren; his grandchildren, Miles, Reid, Grayson, and Isabella; and his brother, Jack.
