In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Grant Morgan; sisters: Alma, Catherine and Patsy; brothers: Harold, Lewis, Jr and Bobby, Sr.
Frankie was an acclaimed golf professional who twice won the City Amateur Golf Tournament in Wilmington, NC. He was known as a pro at Pine Valley Country Club, Rockingham, NC and in Marion and Mullins, SC. He went big time in Joshua, TX and Wallace Rose Hill Country Club in Wallace, NC.
Frankie is survived by his daughters: Debra Smith of Kannapolis, Angela Morgan of Concord; son, Frankie Joseph Morgan, Jr and wife Mary of Wilmington: brother, Billy Morgan of Bolivia; Grandchildren: Tenesia Sealey of Fuquay Varina, Joseph Morgan of Wilmington, Elizabeth Morgan, Wilmington, Betsy Kaiser and husband Darryl and Steven Smith of Concord; great - grandchildren: Jaxson Lee Morgan, Maddison LeAnne Wright, Lyriq Blue, Zayden Morgan, Turner Smith, Evan and Emelny Kaiser.
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 8th at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
