Gladys Skipper Peterson

Gladys Skipper Peterson, 96, of Wilmington, NC, died Friday, November 23, 2012 at Ocean Trail Nursing Home in Southport. She was born on February 12, 1916, in Wilmington, NC, the daughter of the late Oliver and Cora McCabe Skipper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis R. Peterson, Sr. Surviving are three children, Curtis R. Peterson, Jr. and wife Faye, Artie Gene Peterson and wife Nancy, and Johanna Peterson King and husband Jay, all of Wilmington, NC; nine grandchildren, Curtis Wayne Peterson, Vicki Peterson McMillan, Richard Darren Peterson, Artie Gene Peterson, Jr., Jennifer Peterson Coston, Kimberly King Taylor, Curtis Bryan King, Micah Jay King and Samuel Maultsby; and eighteen great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Pine Valley Church of God. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
