Hazel Lorraine Bradberry (known as Lori to all who loved her), 64, of Wilmington, NC died on October 8, 2026. She was born to Frank Bailey Boyce and Julie Johnson Boyce on October 5, 1962 in Elizabeth City, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Crystal Boyce Tracy.
Lori was employed for 29 years with New Hanover County Schools as the Data Manager at Bradley Creek Elementary. She had a network of so many friends and colleagues through the school for many years. The teachers and children knew to go to her for candy or hugs, and she’d be there with open arms. She loved UNC basketball, being near water, and spending as much time with her daughter as possible.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert, and her daughter who was her heart, Alex; brother Frank Arthur Boyce and wife Lanette; niece Eden Murphy (husband Justin; children Bradley, Tenley, and Rhettley), nephew Frank Austen Boyce (child Ryelan); niece Samantha Settlemeyer (husband Matt; children Henry and Sydney).
The Visitation will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Coble Funeral and Cremation Service, 1155 Shipyard Blvd. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am with William Edward Braswell officiating. The burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Please wear bright colors to celebrate her.
